The new, 2015 edition of our book, Where to Eat and Stay on the Wild Atlantic Way, is now for sale in good bookshops and available to order online here, as well as coming at you in a funky WAW app, available from the Apple and Google stores.

The book has increased in size by 10% in just 8 months, with lots of brilliant new arrivals making their mark on the West Coast. Here are some newbies you shouldn't miss as you travel the WAW. Grannys Coffee House, Oughtmara, Co Clare

Lir, Kilkee, Co Clare
Deirdre Daly's café and restaurant may be in the golf course at Kilkee, but never mind that; you are here for Ms Daly's beautiful cooking, and for the astonishing views. Lir are on Facebook.

Daroka in Ballybunion, Co Kerry
Dan O'Brien made a mighty name for himself when cooking at Vaughan Lodge in Lahinch, and he now has his own name over the door in Ballybunion. Mr O'Brien's cooking is simple, yet the flavours and textures he unveils are mesmerising. daroka.ie

Mulcahy's, Kenmare, Co Kerry
Bruce Mulcahy has moved his restaurant, to Market Street in pretty Kenmare, so that is where you head to now in order to enjoy the finest cooking in this food loving town.

Kalbo's @ Uillinn, Skibbereen, Co Cork
A new café at the striking new arts centre – you can't miss it – and with the brilliant Siobhan O'Callaghan of Kalbo's in charge, the offer of soups, sandwiches and cakes is simply peerless. westcorkartscentre.com

Dillons, Timoleague, Co Cork
Richard Milnes is one of the best west Cork chefs, and it's brilliant to see this cutting-edge talent at work in the legendary Dillon's of Timoleague.

Bruno's, Kinsale, Co Cork
William Barry of the McKennas Guides loved Bruno's, and he's not the only one: there is an ongoing discussion as to whether anyone else cooks a better pizza than the imaginative and original creations that fly out of their pizza oven.
