Galway Goat Farm

All the best places to eat, shop and stay in Ireland. A local guide to local places.

Larry and Anne's goat's milk enterprise has advanced steadily, surely, successfully. They began by selling the utterly delicious milk from their herd of gorgeous Anglo-Nubian goats, bottled in bright litre glass bottles. The taste is wonderfully clean and refreshing, with an acidic edge that slakes the thirst. Then came their Greek-style yogurt, an essential ally in the kitchen and brilliant at breakfast. And then came the first of their goat's milk cheeses, completing a trinity of superb artisan foods. You will find them in the best Galway shops, and on smart restaurant menus, and they are set fair to become one the champions of the West.
