  • Greenmount House

The Curran family have been purveyors of exemplary hospitality since opening their door to guests way, way back in 1977.
As they head towards a half century of service, it’s important to recall that it is destinations like Greenmount that set the standards for Dingle, and it is families like the Currans who have made this tiny and remote village, on the farthest western peninsula of Europe, a global destination for travellers, music lovers and food lovers.
And that is the secret of Dingle: it is confounding. It really shouldn’t attract any visitors, because it’s too remote, it’s too hard to get to, it’s too small. But when you come to know the town and its people, you reaise that what makes Dingle work is the people who live and work here. They are superpowers, each and every one of them, and they are the reason why Dingle is a global destination.
The Curran family – John and Mary, and their children Gary and Maria – set their standards high from the start. And each year they try to out-do themselves, improving the house, improving the breakfast and drinks offer, improving each and every thing that they can.
This relentless and restless urge is the DNA of Dingle, and it explains why the town is such a pure charmer of a place. Dingle is unique, and families such as the Currans express their own unique style of hospitality, which means Greenmount is always someplace special, always somewhere you want to return to. Greenmount is a pure charmer.
