All the best places to eat, shop and stay in Ireland. A local guide to local places.

McCambridge’s is the cornerstone of Galway’s food revolution.
For fully 90 years, McCambridge’s has been the pivot of Galway’s food culture, a shop whose doctrine of excellence and service has only ever improved with the passing of the years. Eoin McCambridge has spoken of the family’s philosophy that you “have to reinvest and reimagine the business every few years”, and Eoin and his sister Natalie, do just that. Their café, Upstairs @ McCambridge’s proved to be a pathbreaking success after it opened in 2012 – it’s one of the city’s most charming rooms – and, most recently, they have become part of the Galway Whiskey Trail. The shop and café are a vital cultural catalyst for the city, and they are one of the glories of Galway.
