Milltown House

All the best places to eat, shop and stay in Ireland. A local guide to local places.

Long before Dingle transformed itself into one of the brightest and best places to eat and stay in Ireland, Milltown House was here, offering serene hospitality and heartbreakingly gorgeous views across the bay from what has to be – has to be – the best location in the entire town.
Today, under the guidance of Stephen McPhilemy and Patrick Wade, the house has undergone a beautiful re-birth, and stands once again as one of the defining Dingle addresses.
Right from the moment you arrive, and have your first encounter with Seamus, the formidable wolfhound (who runs the place, of course) Milltown strikes the right notes of hospitality, generosity and fun. Stephen and Patrick source their foods from the best of the best for their splendid breakfasts, they have designed the house with an expert eye, and everything works to make the guest feel extra special, in an extra special place. It’s so hard to leave.
